Privacy Policy

Last updated: July 18, 2026

PantryPath.com ("PantryPath," "we," "us") is a free directory that helps people find food pantries and food banks across the United States. We built this site around a simple principle: your need for food assistance is private. This policy explains what limited information is collected when you use the site, how it is used, and the choices you have.

Information We Collect

You can search and browse PantryPath without creating an account, and we never ask for your name, email address, or any personal details to use the directory.

  • Location searches. If you allow browser geolocation or type a city or ZIP code, that location is used only to run your search. We do not store it or link it to you.
  • Form submissions. If you voluntarily submit a pantry listing, claim a listing, or contact us, we collect the information you provide (such as an organization name, address, and your contact email) solely to process that request.
  • Server logs. Like most websites, our hosting provider (Cloudflare) automatically records basic technical data such as IP address, browser type, and pages requested. This data is used for security, performance, and aggregate analytics only.

Advertising and Cookies

PantryPath is supported by advertising, which keeps the directory free for everyone. We use Google AdSense to serve ads. Third-party vendors, including Google, use cookies to serve ads based on your prior visits to this website or other websites.

  • Google's use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve ads to you based on your visit to this site and/or other sites on the Internet.
  • You may opt out of personalized advertising by visiting Google Ads Settings.
  • You can also opt out of some third-party vendors' use of cookies for personalized advertising at www.aboutads.info.

For more information on how Google uses data when you use our site, see How Google uses information from sites or apps that use its services.

How We Use Information

  • To operate the directory and return search results near you
  • To review and publish pantry listings submitted by the community
  • To respond when you contact us
  • To keep the site secure and understand aggregate usage
  • To display advertising that keeps the service free

We do not sell personal information, and we do not share it with third parties except as described in this policy (for example, ad serving by Google) or when required by law.

Your Choices and Rights

  • You can browse the entire site without providing any personal information.
  • You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings at any time.
  • You can opt out of personalized ads using the links in the Advertising section above.
  • Depending on where you live (for example, California or the European Union), you may have additional rights to access or delete personal information. Contact us and we will honor applicable requests.

Children's Privacy

PantryPath is a general-audience website and is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated "Last updated" date.
